![]() ![]() To end positively, the death cutscene did make me laugh on every occasion I died and also playing on all 3 of the available graphics settings, especially, on low, made the game more comedic that horror based. I also highly doubt I will pick this game up ever again. ![]() Finally, I do not believe I could recommend this game to anyone in its current state as these such issues made for a very bland and heartless experience. On top of this assets for key items such as cassettes, files and keys would be clipped into objects they were spawning on meaning they could not be picked up and hence the game could not be progressed. A personal gripe for me was the various plants situated around the location that had a very modern plant pot despite the house being filled with antique vases and also the plants being very green despite the lack of windows for said plants to receive natural light to be that green in the first place. Certain aspects feel unexplained or under utilised, such as the baby being for mere jump scare factor despite it being very predicable. At various points on the second floor the ai would get stuck on certain assets or even completely ignore you if you ran behind certain ones despite there being a clear line of site between the two of you. Consistently there were mapping issues where I would not be chased even when right in front of the chaser and nothing would happen. Another major flaw in my playthrough was at the behest of the janky ai. Just as a whole the environment feels very overcrowded just to fill up space and for no other purpose. ![]() Room layouts make no sense with random events that have no meaning to them, i.e blue lightning in certain areas. This is very prevalent in the first room where neon lights and banners have been used that completely betray the Gothic environment. The setting of the map feels very disjointed between the first and second floors, it feels primarily like assets have just been used for the sake of it without much thought as to why. Came across this game through the steam store page and after over an hour of playtime I cannot recommend this to anyone. ![]()
